Newburgh Urban Market Coming this May

urban market

This is just one of many exciting things in the offing, not just in Newburgh but in…well, we’ll tell you about that other thing tomorrow. Meanwhile, the Newburgh Urban Market is coming! The first date set for the new outdoor market is May 31st. Newburgh Restoration mastermind/ultimate purveyor of Newburgh renovation porn/illustrious Upstater contributor Cher Vick hipped us to the good news, and they need vendors. From Vick: “The market will be catering to vendors who sell: Vintage and antique items, food trucks, farmers, crafts and handmade items, vintage furniture and housewares, potted and fresh cut plants. Vendor stall spaces are 10X10. Interested parties may go to www.newburghurbanmarket.com to fill out a vendor registration form.” Did you get that, crafty readers? Sell your stuff at the Newburgh Urban Market, which will be held at Liberty Street next to Washington’s HQ (GMAP).  Meanwhile, the rest of us non-vendors will start saving our couch change and marking our calendars. Need more dirt? Email newburghurbanmarket@gmail.com for more information.

Newburgh Brick Industrial, $799,000

12 front street newburgh ny

Here’s one from the “If I had 800 grand burning a hole in my pocket” files. Beautifully restored circa-1865 brick industrial building with two commercial spaces and two lofts upstairs. It’s clearly a salon right now. It’s located on the waterfront in Newburgh in the midst of all of those waterfront shops and businesses. Love the dark wood and the exposed brick. Too bad the pictures of the living spaces are so darn teeny-tiny. Ah well. We can still tell they rock.

Newburgh Bungalow-Style, $84,900

102 prospect street newburg ny

No Five-Figures week would be completely without at least one offering from Newburgh. In fact, there are so many, we could’ve devoted the entire week to Newburgh five-figure properties, or an entire blog to them. Oh, wait. That’s kind of already being done over at Newburgh Restoration. Meanwhile, feast your eyes on this 1920s bungalow style abode on Prospect Street (GMAP) that seems to little if no work. Big front porch, pretty light-filled interior, and even a wee yard ’round back. The neighborhood is located just a few blocks from the waterfront.
