Victorian in Kenoza Lake, $70,000

2 stone arch road kenoza lake ny

Today, we went to Sullivan County in search of a pretty old fixer-upper in a nice location, and boy did we hit the jackpot with this Victorian in Kenoza Lake near Jeffersonville. The interior is attractive, but the interior needs a lot more love an attention. What it does have it a large attic, chestnut staircase, and some lovely stained glass. What needs work? Aside from what you can see in the photos, the roof, walls, floors, and ceilings. Located on a full acre just a half-mile from the Stone Arch Bridge Historical Park and steps from the Callicoon Creek. But don’t worry: It’s at moderate to low risk for flooding. Please someone buy this house, do something amazing with it, and then send us the “After” pictures.

Five-Figure Friday: Jeffersonville Cottage, $69,900

48 maple avenue jeffersonville ny

There are lots of five-figure properties in Jeffersonville, making it tough to choose which one to look at this week. Ultimately, however, we went with this sweet cottage on 2 acres, walking distance from the village. Listing calls it in “As-Is”, but quite frankly, we don’t see much wrong with it, so As-Is looks fine with us. Comes with an enclosed porch and a stream on the property, as well as a detached garage. We should’ve called this edition “For Less Than Your Monthly Car Payment, You Can Get…”

Victorian in Jeffersonville, $129,000

5008 state route 52 jeffersonville ny

Sometimes, it’s tough to look past the current owner’s personal clutter in order to catch a glimpse of how a house really looks. That’s what’s going on here with this circa-1870 Victorian located right in the village of Jeffersonville. We can see the kitchen, which was updated in 2004, and the ornate wood banister, but we wish we could see more. Regardless, we can see its potential. House contains a whopping 7 bedrooms. Don’t go thinking “B&B”, though. There are only three bathrooms.

Jeffersonville Craftsman, $199,000

283 east hill road jeffersonville ny

According to the listing, the owner/broker spent around $90,000 on renovating this circa-1920 Craftsman-style, and it certainly shows. What initially caught our eye was the great fireplace, and then we discovered the other little touches, like the French doors and the wood stove in the dining room. The green fridge in the kitchen sealed the deal, but sadly, it probably doesn’t come with the house. Property is situated on over two acres about four and a half miles from the village of Jeffersonville.
