Ghent Organic Farm, $975,000

416 schnackenberg rd ghent ny

Twin Maple Farm in Ghent, Columbia County has been making artisan cheese since 2009, but  well before the creamery was created, the pastures at the farm have been a pristine place for Hawthorne Valley cattle since the early 1800s. Now, the entire operation is on the market. And what an impressive operation it is: We’ve got the main house, a 3,200+ square foot Centerhall Colonial, 56 acres of organic farmland, a 13,000 square foot barn, and the entire creamery production center that bares a slightly resemblance to somewhere Walter White might spend a lot of time. Which makes sense; we hear the creamery’s signature cheese Hudson Red is down-right addictive. Anyway, a stunning farm, for sure, for less than a million.

Kerhonkson Creekside Contemporary, $975,000

15 trout creek road kerhonkson ny

While not the most expensive house in Kerhonkson (there are a couple over a million), this one is certainly one of the most visually-intriguing. It also seems to ooze luxury from every nook and cranny, from the floor-to-ceiling windows to the white marble countertops to the spa master bath complete with soaking tub. Basking in the sunbeams and staring out at the trees would be at the top of our activities list if we resided in this abode, with frequently field trips to the Mombaccus Creek which flows through the land. To sum up: Wow. Yes, please.

Newburgh Brick Industrial, $799,000

12 front street newburgh ny

Here’s one from the “If I had 800 grand burning a hole in my pocket” files. Beautifully restored circa-1865 brick industrial building with two commercial spaces and two lofts upstairs. It’s clearly a salon right now. It’s located on the waterfront in Newburgh in the midst of all of those waterfront shops and businesses. Love the dark wood and the exposed brick. Too bad the pictures of the living spaces are so darn teeny-tiny. Ah well. We can still tell they rock.

Friday Fancy Returns: Cornwall Greek Revival, $799,000

Well, Friday Fancy Returns just for this week, anyway. Normally we post a five-figure property on Fridays, but since we devoted this entire week to those, we though we’d switch things up a bit. We pulled this beautiful Greek Revival straight from our own real estate listings , and it certainly fits the fancy criteria. Looking like it was pulled straight from the Antebellum south, this property is located in the Orange County village of Cornwall on Hudson and comes with views of the Hudson River from the look-out room on the roof. Includes a carriage house and two acres of land. If you decide to look at the Google Streetview, it’s a little confusing. The mini-estate is actually tucked away from Duncan Avenue and bordered by Summer Winds Court. In typical Orange County fashion, the taxes are absurd.
