Garrison Colonial, $739,000

315 indian brook road garrison ny

Bucolic? You’re soaking in it. This circa-1850 Colonial is sort of how we always imagined life in Garrison to be like: Sun-dappled rolling lawns with lots of trees, lots of little shady nooks in which to put our Adirondack chairs, and a studio where we can work while a fire roars in the stove. Inside, we like the wide plank floors and beamed ceilings, all the usual benchmarks of a renovated countryside Colonial. Located on nearly 2 acres on a  dirt road, 315 Indian Brook Road is just a half-mile from the Bird and Bottle Inn.

  1. Now that’s a nice house. Fair taxes too. I’m sure some of the rooms would be, as they say, cozy.

  2. I kind of love this house. I’ve never been inside but have driven by many times. It’s on the historic part of Indian Brook Road, which is a lovely dirt road. It’s also bordered by Route 9 though. The strange thing about this house is how long it has lingered on the market. I can’t say for sure but it has been at least two years. It looks like the kitchen was just renovated. I remember seeing photos of a less trendy looking kitchen. Hmmm…
