A Brooklyn Concert to Benefit Young Musicians Upstate

Here’s an example of the symbiosis between upstate and downstate: a fundraiser for the Sullivan County-based Artist Coaching Project, which pairs professional classical musicians with rural music students upstate. Rather than hold the spring gala upstate, it’s here, in Brooklyn, where many of the musicians (and a lot of the cash) reside. The concert is Saturday, March 24th, and costs a minimum of $75. It’ll be held in a private residence near the Brooklyn Museum, and includes some chow.

The ACP is run by Weekend of Chamber Music, a very popular series of concerts help upstate in Sullivan County, in a restored barn at the Eddie Adams Farm. Put it on your to-do list for the summer.
